Cancer Support: Nutritional Supplement Programs
Cancer Support: An Individualized Nutritional Supplement Program
Patients with impaired immune system need a balance between free radicals and antioxidants. Cancer has been associated with an elevated level of free radicals relative to antioxidants, which are capable of inactivating free radicals. It has been shown that increasing serum levels of some of these antioxidants through supplementation may reduce the incidence of cancers. Our treatment includes select herbs and antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10, grapeseed extract, beta-carotene, vitamin E, vitamin C, germanium sesquioixde, N-acetyl cysteine, L-glutathione and a bioflavonoid complex.
Mushroom extracts derived from the mycelia, or budding, stage of the mushroom are also recommended. Unlike the fruiting stage, the budding stage ensures the highest level of biological and biochemical activity. Mushroom extracts increase NK (natural killer activity) activity, T-cells and B-cells. The extracts also promote your own natural protection of interferon, which enables the body to recognize the genetic codes of pathogens, and destroy them.
Other oral megadoses of vitamins used include:
Vitamin C- 2 - 4 grams/ day
N-acetyl cysteine - 1,500 - 2,000 mg/day

Magnesium - 500 - 750 mg /day
L-glutamine 30 - 40 grams/day in divided doses
L-carnitine 2,000 mg/day
